    MIPS system explained:
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is an innovative safety technology integrated into some models of the Sweet Protection Ascender helmet. This technology consists of an additional inner shell that can move slightly against the outer helmet shell upon impact. This reduces rotational forces acting on the head during a fall. The MIPS system thus increases protection against brain injuries that can result from rotational movements and offers an additional level of safety for demanding ski touring and freeride activities.
